Mobile, Dual-Stream Treatment for a Remote Highway Construction Project in Xinjiang, China

Client & Challenge
A major highway project in the high-altitude, frigid terrain of Xinjiang faced a critical dual challenge: treating domestic sewage from temporary worker camps and managing sediment-laden wastewater from equipment washing across its 100+ km route. With fragile desert ecosystems at stake, the client needed a wastewater solution that was as mobile as their construction teams—capable of rapid relocation between camps without compromising on compliance or performance.

Our Tailored Solution
We deployed a bespoke, mobile wastewater treatment package specifically engineered for linear infrastructure projects. The system combined dedicated units for both industrial and domestic waste streams in a fully containerized, relocatable format.

Highlights & Outcomes

  • Dual-Stream Processing:Two parallel systems were implemented: Huaqing HQ-IW1 (Huaqing industrial wastewater1) units for industrial sediment removal (using cyclonic separation, coagulation, and filter pressing) and Huaqing HQ-DS1 (Huaqing Domestic sewage1) units for domestic sewage, ensuring comprehensive site water management.
  • Built for Mobility & Harsh Conditions:The rapid-deployment, containerized design allowed the entire treatment plant to be broken down, moved, and recommissioned at new camp locations as construction progressed, withstanding extreme environmental conditions.
  • Autonomous Operation:Integrated intelligent controls enabled fully automatic, unmanned operation with real-time data logging and compliance reporting—a crucial feature for remote sites with limited technical staff.

The Huaqing Value:  Mobile Treatment for Linear Project Challenges

We transform temporary wastewater treatment from a logistical challenge into a mobile, manageable asset. This is the new standard for roads, rails, and pipelines worldwide.
